Time Will Tell - Wheat Vase
Time Will Tell - Wheat Vase
The wheat pattern carved on this piece is simple, but it holds so much meaning for me. I’m from a small farm town surrounded by rolling wheat fields for miles, and there’s nothing quite like the peaceful, mesmerizing feeling of standing in the middle of one of those fields, watching the wind move in graceful waves.
The design was also inspired by the song Time Will Tell by Gregory Alan Isakov, one of my favorite folk artists. To me, the song speaks to resilience, change, and learning to trust time and patience to navigate life's uncertainties, using grain as the imagery to paint this story.
Turning in the grain again, the bells begin to chime
Time, she says, “there's no turning back, keep your eyes on the tracks”
Through the fields, somewhere there's blue
Oh, time will tell, she'll see us through
This small vase has a smooth satin matte finish in a warm alabaster glaze.
Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe, but I recommend washing by hand and limited microwaving.
