Shop Information
FAQs
• Shop updates: Right now I’m only able to add new stock to the shop a few times a year, and I don't have a set schedule. Pottery is a slow process, and I’ve got a full-time job outside pottery that keeps me busy. The best way to stay updated is to sign up for my email newsletter or to follow along on Instagram.
• Restocks: Some designs find their way back, while others are more one-time pieces. I work in small batches and tend to follow whatever I’m excited to make next, so the shop will always be changing a bit. If something really speaks to you, it’s best to grab it when it’s available. Otherwise, feel free to check back for future updates. There will always be new pieces on the horizon. If something sells out that you really love, send me a message so that I can keep it in mind for restocks.
• Commissions: I’m not able to take on any large commissioned projects right now, but occasionally I have time for a one-off piece. If you have something in mind, feel free to reach out in case I’m available - no guarantees though! Commissioned work may take several months to complete, especially if it involves carving or designing new artwork, and will be created in my Folksong style.
• Shipping: For now I’m only shipping within the U.S. I do plan on international shipping in the future, though! Thanks for your patience - getting a small business up and running is a lot of work, so I’m taking things step by step. Most shipping materials are recyclable or eco-friendly. The packing peanuts I use are compostable.
• Returns/exchanges: Because each piece is handmade, I’m not able to accept returns or exchanges at this time. That said, if something arrives damaged, please reach out (see below).
• Damage in transit: I pack everything carefully, but if something arrives damaged, please reach out within 5 days of delivery with a clear photo of the item and packaging so I can help sort things out.
• Caring for your pottery: I use a mid-fire stoneware clay with a low absorption rate and glazes that are all dinnerware safe. More simply, yep it’s safe to eat or drink out of anything in the shop unless otherwise noted. My pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe, though I always recommend hand washing for longevity and avoiding extended time in the microwave. Never microwave empty pottery. Also avoid thermal shock (eg, transferring from the freezer to the microwave). With a little care, pottery can last a lifetime.
• Other questions: If you have any other questions for me, please reach out directly using the form on my Contact page.
