Timberline Nesting Dish Set
Timberline Nesting Dish Set
The striped glaze effect on this set of dishes is meant to echo the mountains, treeline, and sky. The folksong influence behind “timberline” comes from one of my favorite songs, Carolina in the Pines by Michael Martin Murphy:
And we'll talk of trails we've walked up
Far above the timberline
There are nights I only feel right
With Carolina in the pines
Listening to the song makes me feel like I’m in a Bob Ross painting, looking down from a mountainside over a sea of happy trees.
These three dishes nest together nicely. I had crème brûlée in mind when I made them, but they also make great little dessert plates, ring dishes, or pet food dishes... assuming your cat doesn't knock their dish down the stairs every day like mine does.
Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe, but I recommend washing by hand and limited microwaving.
Widths: Sm dish 4.75", Med dish 5", Lg dish 5.1" Weight: 1.4 lb
