Lovebirds Planter

I love folk art of all sorts, but something about Scandinavian folk art really speaks to me. I have Swedish and Norwegian heritage on my dad’s side, so maybe it’s just in my bones. I have so many similar ideas in this style dancing in my head for pottery, but this bird design is one of the first that I’ve brought to life in carving.

Around our house, we’re also a bit obsessed with birds in general. Living next to a forest preserve, we get all sorts, and like a good nerd I keep a careful record of all the different species I’ve seen in our yard over the years.

I hand carved this pot, and I’ve added a drainage hole to keep your plant happy.
